PDP’s Ize-Iyamu celebrates birthday today


The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is today, June 21 2017 celebrating his 55th birthday anniversary.

The entire social media as well as streets of Edo State are agog with activities and felicitation for his birthday, akin to a public holiday.

In the days leading to his birthday, as has become his tradition for many years, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu offered free medical treatments to over 250 residents of Edo State through the Salvation Army in Benin City.

The interesting part of the day is that the PDP Candidate shares the same birthday with his wife, Dr. Idia Ize-Iyamu, a Consultant Otondologist at UBTH and professor of Dentistry at the University of Benin.

Also intriguing is the fact that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu also shares the same birthday with his Deputy in the September 28 Edo State Gubernatorial Election, Hon John Yakubu.

A bash is expected to hold at his residence today to celebrate his life at 55.

Meanwhile, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is at the Supreme Court demanding that he should be declared the winner of the Edo State Gubernatorial Election of 2016 which INEC declared Mr Godwin Obaseki of the All People’s Congress as the winner in very controversial circumstances.

The Supreme Court is expected to deliver judgement in August.
