The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on Monday appointed Mr. Don Awunah as the new Force Public Relations Officer (PRO).  A statement signed by the Force Public Relations Department, which was made available to the media in Abuja, disclosed that the new spokesman replaces Mrs. Olabisi Kolawola, who until Monday was the Force Public Relations Officer.

Details of Court judgment sacking Amodu Sheriff as PDP Chairman

An Abuja High Court sitting at Apo yesterday sacked the factional chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, from office.  Ali modu-Sheriff But Modu Sheriff in a swift reaction to the judgement last night, said he remained the chairman of the PDP The court, in a judgment by Justice Valantine Ashi, declared as “unconstitutional, null and void”, purported amendment of Article 47 Rule 6 of PDP constitution, 2012, at a special National Convention the party held  on Wednesday  and Thursday, December 10 and 11, 2014.

She was hoping that the embarrassing stories in the media would die out, instead people are cooking up  stories of a plan to travel to the United States of America. The source said there is no such plan, and the first family is investigating to see if the embarrassing rumour emanated from APC.

SHOCKING: Army Corporal in Presidential Guards Identified As Boko Haram Combatant A member of President Muhammadu Buhari's security guard linked to the terror group Boko Haram has been arrested.  The suspected Boko Haram member has strong links to the deputy leader of the Wilāyat Gharb Ifrīqīyyah terror group. BREAKING NEWS!!! - Court sacks Sheriff as PDP Chairman

The embattled national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff has been removed by an Abuja high court on Wednesday, June 29.  The court presided over by Justice Valentine Ashi (court 29), sacked the party’s chairman from office by nullifying the 2014 PDP constitution amendment upon which Sheriff was appointed as the PDP chairman. Senator Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction is presently conducting a governorship primaries  in Benin City for the Edo state governorship election. Sheriff was asked to vacate seat by an Abuja High Court on Wednesday. The Court described the amendment as illegal and a violation of the Electoral Act and declared all action carried out with it including anybody parading as officer of the PDP as illegal.

Presidential aides stated that the CBN currency policy was never explained to the President properly and the president never envisaged that the currency flexibility policy is another name for a technical Naira devaluation or will lead that. President Buhari on his part, said that he detest the new CBN policy that devalued the Naira value, as it will not be beneficial to the economy.

The Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, has summoned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Zenith Bank Plc to show why an order exparte to unfreeze Governor Ayodele Fayose’s accounts now before it should not be granted. Presiding judge, Taiwo Taiwo, gave Monday, July 4, 2016 for the EFCC (1st defendant) and the bank (2nd defendant) to appear before him with the necessary evidence.

BREAKING NEWS Fulani Herdsmen Strike Plateau, Kill 22 Six other people were reportedly injured following the attack of the armed Fulani herdsmen. The killings took place on the night of Sunday, June 26, at Hwak-Kwata village in Jos South Local Gov­ernment Area and Hoss in Ri­yom Local Government Area of the state. Fulani herdsmen Residents were seen wailing over the killing of their siblings. Others went in search of their missing relatives.
