The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has condemned in strong terms the sudden postponement  of the Edo state gubernatorial election from September 10 to September 28 2016, describing the action as a deliberate conspiracy between APC led government in the state and some cabal within the corridors of power in the country to rig the election in favour of the ruling party in the state.

The PDP candidate disclosed this, this Friday in Benin city when he received a three man delegation from the united state consulate, Lagos,  who where in the state to monitor the exercise. Postponement of election is a deliberate conspiracy between APC and some cabal within the corridors of power in the country to rig the election – Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu

Ize Iyamu said the fear of failure at the poll by the APC was the sole reason for the shifting of the election to a later date.

Ize Iyamu said the postponement of the Governorship election to a working day is to cause voters’ apathy and to pave way for the APC to rig the election, since it will be difficult for those working outside the state to come and cast their votes. He also raised concern over the possibilities of the INEC official to be financially induced since they have already be known and the sensitive materials have also arrived the state.

He however charged INEC to do the right thing and protect the Nation’s hard earned democracy and advised his supporters to remain calm and Peaceful.

Ms Betty Okoebor Defies Oshiomhole, begs Onojie of Uromi - Says It is a sacrilege for me to demand or receive apology from my King

A mild drama has started in Edo State as Ms Betty Okoebor, the woman in the middle of the crisis between Onojie of Uromi and outgoing Edo State governor,  Adams Oshiomhole, has said that she did not request for any apology and does not seek any apology from the Onojie of Uromi. In a personally signed letter to the Edo State governor, a copy of which was made available to Urhokpota Reporters, Ms Okoebor said she has since reconciled with the Onojie and she does not require the governor to humiliate the Onojie of Uromi on her behalf. “Your Excellency” the letter of Okoebor reads, “note that as a loyal daughter of the Throne of the Onojie of Uromi, it will be sacrilegious for me to demand or receive apology from His Majesty, under any circumstances.
