Chairman PDP Youth Mobilization  Edo State Visits Igun Street Benin for Mobilization

Igun street in Benin city was awash with joy yesterday as the Chairman PDP youth Mobilization Committee Hon Daniel Asekhame arrived the area with his team for mobilization and voters education.

The youths in the neighborhood who received the PDP team with a mini rally of their own said they had been waiting for a special recognition and visit from the party. The artisans and youths in the area boasted that Igun was fully PDP and the presence of no other party was welcome on the street. The  bemoaned the incessant taxation by the present APC led government in Edo state and said the bulk of the youths in the neighborhood were idle and had to improvise to find some form of employment for themselves as there have been no industries and any form of youth empowerment in the state for nearly a decade.

   

On his part the Chairman assured the youth that the incoming government of Ize-Iyamu will empower them and develop industries in the state. He also reiterated the PDP readiness to ensure all loop holes that will encourage the APC rigging the election are blocked. He advised the youths to be eagle-eyed and to watch their votes carefully to ensure no hanky panky from the desperate and withering APC in the state. He also cautioned them to be law abiding through out the exercise

It seems the Dele Giwa murder is one of those historical events that will forever live in the legend of conspiracy theory. Gloria Okon, or Chinyere as she been claimed to be, is a different case. Given what we know, her story seems to be one that could be solved. Ms Betty Okoebor Defies Oshiomhole, begs Onojie of Uromi - Says It is a sacrilege for me to demand or receive apology from my King

A mild drama has started in Edo State as Ms Betty Okoebor, the woman in the middle of the crisis between Onojie of Uromi and outgoing Edo State governor,  Adams Oshiomhole, has said that she did not request for any apology and does not seek any apology from the Onojie of Uromi. In a personally signed letter to the Edo State governor, a copy of which was made available to Urhokpota Reporters, Ms Okoebor said she has since reconciled with the Onojie and she does not require the governor to humiliate the Onojie of Uromi on her behalf. “Your Excellency” the letter of Okoebor reads, “note that as a loyal daughter of the Throne of the Onojie of Uromi, it will be sacrilegious for me to demand or receive apology from His Majesty, under any circumstances. Rather the custom of our people behoves on me to reconcile myself with the Throne.
