BREAKING NEWS: Obaseki and Shuaibu will not be voted into power in Edo state by foul means - Asekhame

The chairman for the PDP Youth Mobilization drive in Edo state Hon Daniel Asekhame in continuation of his tour of Edo state today reiterated his stance on rigging in the forthcoming elections after his meeting with youths in Benin city, Edo south senatorial zone.

He told Vanguard that the PDP has mechanism in place to checkmate the APCs rumored plans to rig the duo of Obaseki and Shuaibu into the goverenors office in the 2016 elections in the state. Quoting him “if the APC involves itself in any hanky panky in the forthcoming elections, there will be an adequate PDP response to negate such nefarious activities. Obaseki and Shuaibu will not be voted into power in Edo state by foul means. All Edo state youth should be alert and guard their mandate jealously as the APC apparently aware of their unpopularity in the state and are sure to lose the coming election are desperately planning on unhinging the peace in the state”.

He said the youths should be of good behavior and obey all electoral rules and regulations while standing ready to defend their votes. He promised the gathering of youths that the PDP when voted into power will make youth empowerment a priority and revive the ailing glory of Edo state.


The Youth Mobilization chairman told this reporter that he will carry his message to Edo central senatorial zone later this week as he continues his tour of Edo state.
