It seems the Dele Giwa murder is one of those historical events that will forever live in the legend of conspiracy theory. Gloria Okon, or Chinyere as she been claimed to be, is a different case. Given what we know, her story seems to be one that could be solved. (Very Interesting read below for those who have not read about her) “On the 22nd April, 1985, a petite society lady, Gloria Okon, was about to board a Nigeria Airways aircraft WT840 (Lagos-Kano-London) at the Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano State when she was arrested with substances suspected to be heroin and other hard drugs (the National Security Organization, NSO or Nigeria’s secret intelligence agency is often mentioned in her arrest). Yoruba Nation Replies Sultan of Sokoto on Plans to Install Sharia in South West.

Following the insistence of the Muslim community, with support from the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, to establish Sharia law in South West states, deeply populated by Yoruba ethnic indigenes, the leader of the Yoruba Nation, a group fighting for the independence of the Yorubas from Nigeria, Prof Adebanji Akintoye, has sent a chilling response to the Sultan. In a six-page document, dated February 1, 2025, which the Yoruba Nation leader personally signed, the group warned the Sultan and other Advocates of the Sharia law in Yoruba land, and jettison the idea, noting that the Fulani has more important duty of Islamizing their indigenous herders, who are believed to be worshipping other deities in the wild, and not Muslims as popularly believed. How Nasarawa Gov Pressurised Me To Establish Militia Group – Miyetti Allah Leader Tells Investigators

The President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, has alleged that the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, was behind the establishment of the ethnic militia group, Kungiya Zaman Lafiya. Bodejo, who is facing terrorism charges, accused the governor of pressurising him to form the militia group. The Miyetti Allah leader was arrested by operatives of the Defence Intelligence Agency on January 23, 2024, at the group’s office in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State for allegedly unveiling a militia group and has been in custody since then. He was arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja on three counts of terrorism on March 22, 2024. Bodejo was specifically accused of establishing the Kungiya Zaman Lafiya ethnic militia in Nasarawa State without authorisation. This time it was with utter shock that Nigerians greeted the return of the Sheikh to limelight after a seeming hiatus from the national scene. What was even more astounding was the relentless emotive absence with which he resurfaced from hibernation. Delightfully, he dared to lead in the negotiations he was hoping for, to facilitate the release of about 300 abductees, of whom over ninety percent were vulnerable Nigerian school children all between the ages 8-12. He based his critical argument around the notion that government is losing its war against the bandit abductors and, hence must dialogue them out of their hostilities. Gumi’s open reaffirmation of wanting to lead the negotiations while suggesting that such negotiations have become quite conventional evokes only nostalgic irritation.
